László Oroszlány participated in the 14th Joint European Magnetic Symposia (JEMS 2025), held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, from 24 to 29 August 2025. JEMS is one of the key European conferences in the field of magnetism, bringing together researchers working on fundamental and applied aspects of magnetic materials, spintronics and related phenomena. His attendance contributed to the international visibility of his research activities and provided an excellent platform for scientific exchange with leading experts from both academia and industry.

During the conference, László Oroszlány delivered an on-site invited contribution entitled “Relativistic Magnetic Interactions from a Nonorthogonal Basis Set.” The talk, co-authored with G. Martínez-Carracedo, A. García-Fuente, L. Udvardi, B. Nyári, J. Ferrer and L. Szunyogh, showcased collaborative work involving Eötvös Loránd University, the Universidad de Oviedo and the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The presentation addressed methodological advances in treating relativistic magnetic interactions within nonorthogonal basis frameworks, which are highly relevant for accurate modelling of complex magnetic materials and low-dimensional systems.
