ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

The ELTE Theory Winter Workshop brings together researchers working at the forefront of theoretical and computational condensed-matter physics, with particular emphasis on magnetism, quantum materials, electronic-structure theory, spin dynamics, and quantum transport. The workshop aims to connect complementary approaches ranging from first-principles methods to effective models and large-scale simulations, while creating space for discussion of both new theoretical developments and emerging physical phenomena.

Over four days in Budapest, internationally recognized invited speakers will present their latest research alongside contributed talks and poster presentations. The workshop is intended as an open and interactive meeting for researchers from around the world, and we especially encourage the participation of PhD students and early-career scientists. Our goal is to stimulate discussion, exchange ideas across different theoretical communities, and foster new collaborations. The participation fee is €250 per person.
